I remember seeing a model Stirling Engine in technical college in the 80s.Now days you will find examples and variations of the engine on the net.

My older son has a nice workshop, so I asked him if he could help an old man with a broken toy. He made a sketch of the needed piston, and manufactured it for me. The original piston was a molded epoxy version, the new aluminium piston is 0.4g lighter, so I added some weight to balance the system. Now the engine runs at 60C for more than 2 hours. |
